lack of gain with my new mic pre

I wonder if anyone can help?? My new BROC Coli mic pre seems to have a distinct lack of gain?? anyone got any ideas?? I bought it to warm up the sound..... but having it not working just stinks.

my rap is new, revolutionary and different then everyone elses.
some comedian once 'dissed' rappers and said, "i'd like to thank jesus christ almighty, for my number one hit single, fuck yo mama"
and i bought 4 cuban cigars and snuck them into the states. im proud that i spent $100 on 4 cigars..

I can't tell by the pic, but if the 4 runners are balanced that's a great all around package.

I demo'd those the other day during a mid-day session. They had a very natural, almost organic quality to them. Very balanced in the mix for sure. I found myself quite satisfied.
