Why do people on this board congratulate people for buying things?

I just bought brocolli, a gallon of milk, and some cashews earlier this afternoon ... and no one, and I mean no one, congratulated me on the purchase.

If you want me to be happy over your purchase of a mic pre or whatever, you'd better give me some serious props for my cashews, buddy. Because those are some mighty fine-tasting nuts, I tell ya. :D

we're a materialistic society and new things make us happy....or so we're told. are'nt you in marketing? you should know all about that.

Congrats on the Tampa Nick. Nice clean pre that's pretty hard to beat for the buck. The only thing I don't like is the lack of makeup gain. Still a great unit tho.

And Congrats on the brocolli, Chess. Great ruffage and a pretty color too. :D

I was actually talking about the brocoli, milk and nuts. :)
 
Congratulations on determining that the Tampa is way better than Brocolli, milk and cashews. Smart decision. :D
I like the Tampa, sounds a lot richer than the $275 I paid for one. It's a nice looking piece too.
