For $210 out the door! I realize this isn't the greatest amp in the world but for a project amp etc I just couldn't pass it up. It did have some problems with the clean channel fading in and out so I'm first retubing the thing (4 -12AX7, 4 - EL84). I retube anything I buy used immediately. The new tubes should be here by the end of the week. The deal maker for me was that it has an effects loop. I've only played it for about 15 minutes since I'm now taking it apart and cleaning the hell out of it (it was actually in very nice condition). But from my limited time with it I'm more than happy with the way it sounds. Did I already say it only cost $210?

Here's some pics I took (dial up users beware)

Now that we're done with the presentation... Any ideas for mods? Anyone worked on one of these before? I am electronically literate so I have no problem jumping right in.

Well, once you find what you don't like about the amp, then you can find what needs to get modded. Until then, why just mod for the sake of modding?

Only since you said this is a project amp...... ;)

PULL THAT NASTY ASS 'CRATE' LOGO OFF!

:D

I swear, the thing will sound like a million dollars just form not having to see that POS name looking at you.

You know, I think I've read that somewhere. It's amazing how even the smallest of mods can make a world of difference. I don't even think that tweak is documented.
