i was just looking at my logitech usb racing wheel and pedals...would it be possible to hook this up and use the pedals for wah wah effects? i dont know if any programs do this...(im still a newbie) but it doesnt seem like it would be that hard, you would need effects to be processed and output on-the-fly, and to have the wah effect respond to either x or y axis movement on the pedals. just a fun project that came to mind :)

Fruity Loops has an "integrated controllers" feature that lets you bind a joystick axis to an effect or instrument parameter. It's pretty neat...one thing I still use a joystick for from time to time!

thats awesome!! i didnt think it would actually work, ill check out fruityloops and keep you posted

alright i downloaded the trial version, and im having a little trouble navigating, where can i bind a joystick to an effect? any suggestions for a particular (hopefully free) wah effect to download? thanks a lot, -nate

cool idea, I knew a dude who did something similar to that, I am not sure exactly how, he went about it difrently, he wanted to use pedals for his racing games and stuff for mixing in different sounds with others, like adding echo and such to his already hash sound, I think he ended up downloading some midi files and stuff and programming them to function with the pedals. I will get back to you on this one, let me talk to him.

As for sounds I have not ever seen a place where you can download a wah effect, but I know for sure any sounds you find can be tweaked to work out with the pedal. I will check around some more and get back to you.

also this fruity loops site sounds cool. never heard of it before.
