A high compliment indeed!

I like the instumentation on this one. The vocals need to sit back in the mix a tad bit. I like that snare sound and a nice clean guitar tone as well. I am interested in knowing what your setup is. Are you recording a guitar amp or using something like a POD?? Live drums or canned?? What are you recording on?? Give me the details because I like your sound.
Thanx for the kind words.
Ok...
I record to
a Yamaha MD-8 8 Track Minidisc recorder.
For bass, I use an '89 Fender Jazz with EMG's into a Bass POD into a JoeMeek VC1Q and RNC.
For guitar, I use a '95 Fender Mexican Strat (modded with
Vintage Noiseless pickups) into a POD into the VC1Q and RNC.
Vocals are through a Studio Projects C1 condensor mic thru the VC1Q and an RNC.
Drums are
a Zoom RT-323 drum machine (Funk Kit 1 for this tune) into
a JoeMeek SC2.2 compressor into a RNC.
I LOVE this drum machine!
Entire mix thru a RNC (Supernice mode, 2:1, -3dB of gain reduction)
with Crane Song dither CD to a Alesis MasterLink at 24 bit/ 88.2 khz.
Edited on a Mac with Peak.
Effects are 2
Alesis Midiverb 4's.
In 1 rack in the corner of my bedroom!
I just reposted this song here,
http://homepage.mac.com/WebObjects/...tefn=RootSite.xml&aff=consumer&cty=US&lang=en
as it was remixed with
a wahwah guitar solo added.
I love it that you're not sure if it's an amp or a POD,
drums or samples.
That is my goal.
To make the listener wonder.
That is the highest compliment you could give me.
Thank you, kind sir.
Peace.
Carmen
