well, i'm back with some more standards that we recorded....

basically we tracked everything with a scratch vocal and then overdubbed the actual vocal takes later. other than that, everything else is live.

Okay, cool, I listened to Summertime. You've got some dynamics going on there, loud parts, quiet parts, unusual anymore. Thanks for that.

I'm not sure if myspace is doing the recording justice, I guess their player isn't very good. It's hard to tell, but I think it's recorded in a very dry room. I think adding a sense of space would help a lot. Also bring up the vocals just a tad.

i love this song and i love this interpretation.

as chili said this mix is too dry, there's no depth in it and the vocals are too quiet.

[note laptop speaker listen only.] I hate to be part of the loudness war, but overall the mix is quiet. All my volumes are full, and it's not really loud at all.

I enjoyed the keys and vocals in particular, but I would definitely get the vocals to sit a *little* more above the keys. Don't mess with it too much, though.
