what the heck i have never heard of these guitars, does anyone know if they are any good or not. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=906321978 i was mainly looking at this semi hollow jazz guitar, looks awesome neck through design to double coils, and a finish that looks flamed big time. i wish i could play one or hear from someone who has one or knows about them, says lifetime warranty on them. please if you know anything about these guitars let me know. thanks tim pate
surely someone must have played one of these,im mainly looking to get it because my kid who is 8 years old always wants to play my 1985 san dimas jackson and if i had this she wouldnt be banging up my jackson quite so much, and id just let her play it whenever she wanted instead of having to sit with her the whole time. if anyone knows anything about jay turser please remark. thanks guys tim pate
I'm a Jay Turser fan. But here's the watch out for un-suspecting buyers... The electronics will HAVE to be replaced. I bought an electric resonator several months back - the fit/finish is very good, plays very well, some very interesting designs.... But plug it in and you may or may not get a signal out of it.
I don't plug this one in very often because the resonator makes it almost as loud as an acoustic. I only use if for open tuning and slide work. But I am in the process of replacing the pots and input jack. The volume knob is basically on or off.
.... But it does sound extremely nice through an amp when it DOES decide to work
Jay Turser is more of a fourth or fifth guitar for somebody that's looking for a cheap, special purpose guitar (like open tuning) than for a student. There are plenty of quality $100 guitars out there for kids that I would look at first.
