I have the solid body Turser resonator. The intonation on all the resonators I've seen basically will suck. Some will be better than others.
I basically look at mine for slide work - and for that it's excellent. And I do take it camping cause you can get some nice volume out of it for the size and durability of a solid body. You might try lowering the action at the nut/bridge if you want to fiddle with it. But try checking the neck relief and putting on a new set of strings before you do anything else.
The Tursers are uber cheap, but they have real cool stuff that only they have. So if you're comfortable with working on them, they're sort of hard to beat.
