.............blistering! What else can I say man, your tunes are never a disappointment. Excellent recording and performance!! I dig the string scrapes at 2:00.

...............just excellent!

G w/ a big 5 and a sore neck!:D :D

Thank you for compliments (and also for noticing the scapes :D ).

Way cool. Song structure reminds me a lot of Dream Theater... I love it.

And that can't be a bad comparison either (in my head anyway).

Crankage,

I am humbled!

Some day when I sprout balls I'm gonna post some metal.........

But if you and Sam keep postin these fine works I think I'll just stay in the corner............where I'm comfortable!

Thanks for sharing
Joel

Aww... come on. Make some metal if you like. There's never enough of it. Well, maybe there is, but not here anyway.

your damn right!!

Hey Crank. I can't get to many posts in this week. But I know you've given me help on my stuff and I never seem to get around to returning the favor. That's gotta stop. Here I go....

Great high energy tune. Love the guitar playing. Loved what you did with panning. Great drum playing. The low keyboard part was real nice.

Nice little slowdown at 3:18. The piano fit real well in there. The reverby guit at 4:02 was nice as well.

Nice bass on this one. I'm wondering if it might be a bit better if you brought out the attack by giving it a little EQ boost at 2.5khz or so. Just a thought...

Did I hear a small pop at about 1:00? and maybe at 3:04?

Trip....

Oh my damn. How have I missed this one in the clinic? This is my favorite "month',oops I mean "tune" from you that I've heard here in the clinic. You have the chops to be a great instrumentalist.Do you have a band or do these creations live and die in your home? You really should play this stuff out live if you dont already. The Iron Maiden harmony guitar lines are always cool.....maiden was one of my favorite bands from the 80's.

Nice job and great guitar work as always.Excellent recording and mix.

OK... finally got it downloaded. I listened as critically as I could, which aint much but honest..

This piece kept my interest well after it finished, had to go back again, and then sent it upstairs to the house system, Macintosh tube with some decent AR speakers....and loud. Most all the levels were great and placement was really really good. Drums all had good voices except the tone bloom on the crashes, snare, bass, and toms seemed inhibited a bit in the first movement. In the second movement they seemed swelled out more and sounded big fat, except the hat never really came out cutting strong. ( Pert samples? :) ) The bass had a nice punchy "ricky" tone but could have used some more fat around 120 and a bit more growl around 2k. The organ was a little thin, and making it ultra-wide stereo would make big stage sound. You track really tight and close with the guitar and get some great crunch without mud. A slight almost invisible touch of "room" on the whole mix would make it sound an incredible performance in a righteous music hall. The whole thing was absolutely a pleasure to listen to> I admire your expertise in being able to get all those voices down by yourself. damn.

Thanks about .. everything. I listened again, but I didn't hear any minor pops at around 1:00 or 3:04. How did you listen? I mean, sometimes when I listen stuff here with Windows Media Player it adds some weird pop-sounds and stuff like that. But anyway, there still might be a pop somewhere here....

No band. As you said, my creations live and die in my home :D Or in somebody else's home nowadays, since I let you hear them :D Playing these live could be cool, but I'm not much of a practicing type. After finishing a song, I move on to the next, and afterwards I don't remember how to play all of the parts. I guess I'm lazy (and very sloppy too). I need many takes to get it right so hearing these sounds a little deceiving I guess.

Thank you for the criticism. Hm... I'll have to check out the tone blooms and such. I haven't heard my songs with speakers in a while. I mix with headphones (Beyerdynamic DT 990). I think I should listen to these at least once with speakers. I don't have speakers connected at the moment. Don't have enough room here. My brother has, but he's paranoid about my mixes, since he has these Infinity Delta 70 speakers that cost mucho :D . I guess he thinks there could be some ultra-low frequencies on my mixes that I can't hear on my headphones, but they would destroy his speakers :D But... he hasn't heard any of my songs anyway.

But as I said, thanks for your input. I think I'll check some of those frequencies you mentioned... Still, I'm not going to remix this again :D But at least I could learn something from all of this.

I downloaded it again. I didn't hear a pop this time. Maybe it was a download problem or maybe I was just goofy yesterday.
