I wrote a long technical answer to this but this worthless board ate it while in overload state.tomleblanc said:I always assumed that a power supply putting out more amperage could be damaging to the unit, that's why I was worried mine didn't match the specs of the factory one. Is the voltage the more critical factor for the internal transformer?
In a nutshell, the power supply has to have the ability to provide more current (in amps) than the device consumes.
The PS cannot make the device use any more current, but the device can draw more current than the PS can supply, at which point it overheats and burns out.
: Whenever I move my mouse around or click, I get noise out of the J-station...I am not plugged in via SPDIF, but left and right inputs on my soundcard. It's not a big deal, cause I don't usually fidget with my mouse while I'm playing...hmm as I type this, my keyboard strokes are also making noise...weirdness...I could always make a bunch of settings with the pitch shifter, giving me various notes and make a 'point and click' or 'hunt and peck tune'...
