Who Cares!
when does it come to an end using plugins. I means you have 20 million of em but do you use them all. Im really asking what plugin is worth having permantly!.

Lets fill in the list:

Compressors:

Reverbs:

Eq's:

Analog Saturation:

Etc: or plug of choice.

Many people would probably contest Waves.

I don't have any outside plugs than what Logic comes with, and at that, while they're nice, I hardly know how to use them, and using presets just does not cut it sometimes.

My desert island plugs-

Compressors-
Smack!
Impact

Reverbs-
TL Space

EQ's-
George Massenburg's
Sony Oxford EQ's

Analog Shit-
After demo'ing the Waves SSL Bundle, I think I have some saving up to do.

I have 20 or 30... Most of which are the UAD collection. There are about 5 or 6 of those that I wouldn't give up for twice the price.

I use my EQ stuff and Wave Hammer a lot. I am trying to become less reliant on them and more reliant on learning how to record a great sound.

I have a very limited number of plugins, and that's deliberate. The few that I've spent money on are:

PSP Vintage Warmer & MasterQ

Sonalksis SV-315 compressor

Elemental Audio Inspector XL

I recently purchased the PSP MasterComp and NeonHR, but found they were too processor intensive for my Mac G4 dual 800. Plus, they use iLok/Pace copy protection, which I find creates certain slowdowns and problems for me. So they were kind enough to refund my money. MasterComp sounded incredible, an excellent mastering type processor in my opinion.

Other plugins on my short list are the rest of the Elemental Audio collection.

Otherwise, I really like to use hardware outboard.
