you know, there are many "covers" versions floating around here, and I kinda have an idea. This was done in another forum I have frequented, and the idea is to do a cover version of a song by someone else on THIS forum. I put this idea in the ring, just to make sure people wouldn't mind their tunes being redone (not that I might do that!!!), but to get some feedback on what others might think. I personally feel, if your music is here, it is available for free (But no-no to the person who trys to sell someone elses stuff:mad: ) and potentially "available" for a cover version. I'd think picking tunes and supprises would be the most entertaining and fun to listen to.

That's a great idea! I don't have anything good enough for anyone to want to do but if I did, I wouldn't mind whatever anyone wanted to with it. There are so many songs that I'd love to cover at this site that I need to think about which I'd like to do the most. Mixmkr........you might have started something here. :)

I don't feel worthy of covering anyone's tune yet, however, the idea is really cool! But who would cover Sab's stuff?

It would be interesting to see what everyone's take is on different songs that are presented here.

I regret to inform WATYF, that the first song I will be doing is Erland's "Nights with no Heros.":D ...gothic style...

That song lends itself quite nicely to drop A tuning.. Wait until you hear me sing it..:D

Hey Sam, are you taking requests? I wanna hear you do From a Boy to a Girl gothic style.
 
Too late.. I've already finished my production of "From a boy to a girl"... "Death Metal" style. It's got a nice "ring" to it, but it's kinda hard to fit all the words of the chorus in at 186 bpm.

Seriously... I would do FABTAG.. (<--- that's easier than spelling the whole title out..) :p so maybe that'll be my next attempt at recording...

This is a great idea.

But I go in the reverse direction - I want to have Erland do my stuff.

Serious though - if anyone's interested please let me know. I think I do some pretty good writing and I'd like to hear it produced well.

I'm cool with that idea. I can't cover Sabb's stuff. I'm afraid of ruining those :D There's so many possibilities...
 
Are you kidding, Sam! Your stuff is some of the most interesting on this board! I would try a cover, but just make a mockery of it! Only you can do what you do, but it might be cool to hear someone else's take on it! lol
