I've been hiding for a while

but I'm back again with a remix of an older recording I posted up last year. I'd actualy lost/deleted/who knows? the original mixdowns from this session but I came across the DVD with all the seperate tracks on last week.

Anyway, don't know if any of you will remember it but at the time of recording I hadn't done much stuff with keys so I kinda buried them a bit. I've tried to bring them out more and go for a more natural drum sound than I had previously.

Any feedback on the mix would be great. Maybe it's cause I'm stoned but to me it sounds miles in front of what I remember from the original.

Thanks for that....wish I hadn't lost the mix from last year for you to compare.

Lately I've been helpin out at the local youth club with some recording of the bands they have coming in. Very basic live demos but it's fun going back to that level and seeing the ideas grow as they come back each week

Nice sounds man....good tone on the guitar. I like the voice on this. It fits very well on this tune. Good bass sound also. I like where the keys sit. They aren't overbearing, but have a good quality to them. They add a good sound to the song.

Bass and drumset sound really good during the intro. I'd like to hear the drums a little more in the rest of the mix - there's some low-mid buildup that's making things less clear on my system. Great guitar sound on the left at :50. I like the balance between the vocal phrases when they overlap one another.

Sounds great to me....You should stay away more often. Don't judge a mix when you're stoned. I always think I hear sirens in my tunes when I'm stoned....

Sounds pro quality. Oh I did notice slight rumble in one place but that could be 'coz I read Tim's comment.

Man, more than quality the song itself it pretty good. The song structure and the vox and all. They sure don't make them like that anymore. It's now one hit and 10 fillers to make one CD.

I LOVE this tune man. Really nice sound and great song. I know some wont agree and hopefully wont offend you but I swear I hear some Coldplay in this (one of my fave bands that ppl trash on this forum) with the vox and style.

I love the piano on it. Sounds like an electric grand. Puts me in mind of the awesome piano stuff in Supertramp. Great!!!

I love the everything about this. The vocals are excellent!!

Intro is great...I like the bass..the guitar's tone is good....and the build up with the piano/vocals and the drums coming in with that kick ass beat. Can't stop listening!!

Why wouldn't it be good? You guys sometimes pick your music apart, when it really doesn't need to be....it is good...accept it.

This sounds & is really good.
I'd like a little more definition on the toms in the circular drum pattern of the verse though.
Time away from a project certainly does you a lot of good.
Fresh ears et al & I suppose working at another level, youth clubbing, gets the juices going again too.
There's something a little Stingish somewhere in there - that's not a face slap. he did, occasionally, do some fine work.
As I continue listening gee you really have the kit sitting nicely in the mix for the outro. The crashes are just as I'd expect to hear em live.
