hey its not Friday anymore...even my threads title is dated!

Nicely done ! Not the style of music I'd listen to, but for an 80's type tune I think it's spot on.
All that's missing to my ears is a slightly grittier bass tone - something like the tone on Being Boiled maybe.
I can hear spaces where the two girls should be doing their slightly flat nasal bvox.
I didn't get into the era - I was rock & the wife was contemporary with H17 et al.
This is, however, almost an HL meets NOrder blend.
NOICE!
What if Ian Curtis didn't commit suicide and New Order never was???
That's what this made me ponder
I think it lacks a bit more of a hook, either in the vocals or the music...but pretty good as it is!

Hey, good job on this one dood.
Just having the guitar and vocal in there makes a big difference in terms of maintaining interest. I personally loathe the '80's pop sound, but I would argue that the production values on this recording are higher than what I remember from a lot of the pop music of the period.
I like the way you recorded/processed the vocals. The delivery is pretty monotone, but for the most part, I think it works on a song like this. Some more emotive content, particularly on the chorus, would be nice. Also, I thought your pitch was good. The only time it seemed you may've faltered a bit was when you ended phrases with the lower notes. On the lowest notes, it sounds like you trail off rather than finishing the phrase, if that makes any sense.
Lastly, some higher background vocals on the shorus would be great.
But overall, I think it sounds really good and I was happy to hear the guitar/vocals in conjunction with all of the electronic stuff.
