Hi,

When I posted this tune in November, Teyshablue commented that it might benefit from live drums. More importantly, he knew a drummer, Ralph Time, who might be willing to take a pass at it. Well, here is the result. I'm very pleased with the drama and "fireworks" that Ralph has added, in addition to the subtle and restrained Rhodes phrases of Tey at around 2:40.

I'm re-posting this as a "thank you" to Ralph and Tey for their input. To my ears the drums lend a real "club-like" atmosphere to the song.

I have left the original version up as well, incase anyone would like to
A/B the tune - drum machine Vs. a drummer.

Very nice. Your voice is really cool for this tune. The drums are perfect for this too. Everything's good: Guitars, keyboards, etc.......

Just finished listening to the end. What a nice arrangement, and great musicianship.

Am I going crazy or do I not hear any keyboards. Oh, there they are. Very subtle, could have used a little more keyboards during the first half of the song seeing as they were a highlight of the playing for me. Guitar was good but didnt blow me away. Vocals sounded really good. The vocals were a little intimate for me, if that makes sense. I felt like you were right in front of my face singing a song to me. However, that is a desirable effect so you may have had a sucess there. I really liked the tune, a little cheesy with the "conjouled" rhyme. (I can't even spell conjouled, maybe my advice is dog$&!T) Nice work. Loved the harmonies. I almost forgot to say, the drums are magnificent, especially the rim-shot. Great job there!

Thanks for the comments Rami & onestu3.

Trouble with vox is, if they ain't up front and centre, its difficult to make out the words to a tune & this can be a source of frustration and confusion to some. Remember Hendrix: 'scuse me while I kiss this guy"?

Re: guitar, yea I've always been a little coy about my playing.

I might venture to say that the "rim-shot" might be more accurately described as a "wood block". I could be wrong, but if that is a side-stick'ed snare, I wanna see it.

Persnickities aside, I couldn't agree with everyone more. Amazing how some well-played, well recorded drums just bring the songs to life.

Well done.
