Issues with Cool Edit Running under Vista

Hello,

I installed Cool Edit 1.0 on a computer running under Vista. When I try to record, I can record only off the microphone built into the computer, not off of something I'm running on the Internet.

Any suggestions on how to change the settings in Vista so that I can record off of the Internet or off of the line-in connection.
