is it uncommon to have 7 different waves lineq in one chain? cause that's what i just did in a recent track i mixed.
 
I don't think I understand what you mean by "7 different waves lineq in one chain".
 
i mean like if you add 1 waves lineq plugin to the chain and then you add another so you can set it to different presets
 
If you're talking about separate areas within the same track, then no it isn't uncommon. I hear all the time that a single track can have dozens of edits and several plugins.
 
I think we're talking cascaded, several in series as inserts on the same track, affecting all material on the track? This would land squarely in the "there are no rules" catagory, though it's alarming to read the last bit;
"so you can set it to different presets".
