Is this a good buy? [Golden Age Pre-73 Mark II]

Hello, everyone! I always check out the daily deals from GC and MF every morning. Today, GC has this preamp for $229. It's supposedly based on Neve circuitry. Anyone know if I should jump on this? I've eyeballed them before, but at this price, I'm really thinking about pulling the trigger.

I paid more a used one a few years ago. At $229 that's a good price. Good little preamp that I use often and it's a decent DI for guitar and bass. Switchable input impedance and insert is nice to have.

Trigger pulled...you better be right, Mark haha...j/k. All the reviews seem pretty stellar...I'm hoping this thing will add a lot to my sound!

If you don't like it, give me a shout. I bet I can sneak it into my studio, here on the poor farm, before my accounts manager (read as wife) finds out. When asked "is that new?", I usually say "Oh that old thing, I've had it a while." <<< think I stole that from someone on this board...plenty of mileage left on it.
