Is there any such thing as "Best"?

For any individual person, there is indeed a best - of just about anything. For people "en masse" there is no best, or at least it is situational and subjective.

This is the best mic. Regardless of opinion or plain ol'logic

Its a sleek black plastic(lighter, easier on mic stands)
1/8 inch jack, very practical
Not to mention the chord is attached! No more, "hey anyone got an extra mic chord about?"
on off switch..(Hey is this on?)

Plus, I think it might fall under best mic under 3 Dollars.

When you are talking about recording gear: Does any piece EVER outshine absolutely EVERYTHING else SO much that absolutely EVERYONE who is exposed to it agrees that it is the BEST?

Yup. One thing is the last Studer 24 track 2" analog machines. They still make them, and they are reguarded by everyone to be the best recording equipment available, hands down.
