Is there a difference with Sennheiser 421MD u-4 and the MD u-5?

Is there a difference with Sennheiser 421MD u-4 and MD u-5?

I have the U-5, but I heard that the U-4 is best for miking guitars. I bought the mic for miking guitars amps.

I'm working from memory here, but, if I recall right, the U2 thru U5 designation at the end of the model number refers to the type of end connector used. I think U5 is the standard XLR plug.
