If I was the jealous type, I'd come and rob you right now ! :eek:Fortunately, I'm the jealous type thousands of miles away !! :D

That Hammond sound.......ooooh aaaaaah Cantona Va Va Voom boing tilt ZZAABONG ! Love it. Seriously, have shed loads of joy with it and just wait till you start pulling those drawbars !

ha ha

yeah, it's just sitting at his place right now - I haven't even gotten to play it yet. Wait till I report back on what I'm actually doing with this and all the other vintage gear I'm collecting ;)

Leslie??

By the way, can this thing connect to a Leslie? Don't hate me for asking. I already know that I don't deserve this thing, but can anyone tell from the video if it can? I don't really know what to look for

It looks like all you'd need would be a line out connection from the organ. I'd check out the screw terminal connections and see if there's a line out "+ and -" there.

Ironically, a few days back, I went to pick up some stuff for a friend of mine who works in a family contact centre. People donate stuff to them all the time. Anyway, one of the items was a Lowrey "Super genie" organ. If I'd had the space at home, I'd have asked my friend for it, especially when I saw the looks of disdain on their faces when I took it to the centre ! Not quite a Hammond but still worthy.

sweet!

That's a nice hammond! sweet price too! Yes you can hook up a Leslie to it but there is a bit of a learning curve so make sure you get all the info you can on the pin configuration for the leslie you are going to use. There is plenty of info on the web so you shouldn't have any trouble finding it. Leslies are pricey so do your homework. You will NOT be disappointed with the sound.
I had a Hammond tech hook mine up but after I saw what he did, I could have done it myself. It just takes "knowhow". He left the speaker in the organ hooked up but I didn't like the sound so I disconnected the speaker and put a 10 ohm resistor in place of it to give the tube amp a load. Now it sounds the way it should. If you want to spring for the kit (you can find them on ebay) you can have one switch to control the fast / slow spin of the Leslie and one to switch between the organ speaker or the Leslie. I didn't want to spend the extra $$$ so I just use the Leslie. The guys at the Organ Forum are very helpful if you need advice, they can help you.
Good luck.
