I found it under some crappy cymbals in my local pawn shop today. It doesn't seem like a great deal, but you never know. My ebay search was inconclusive--there are 2 17" Zildjian rock crashes up for auction, but they don't end for days and I have no idea how far the price will shoot up. There's a 16" Zildjian rock crash that's going in a day or two, though, and it's up to $90. Maybe I could haggle myself a better deal at the pawn shop, eh?

I've never paid the listed price at a pawn shop. Offer them $75, though $90 doesn't seem like that bad of a deal if it's in good shape.

Thanks elevate! I was thinking I'd offer them $70 or $75. I'll go there and snap it up before some other sumbitch drummer does.

Well, I bought it. I offered $74 cash, but they preferred $80 from my debit card. Whatever. It sounds cool--has a pretty dark low ring to it. It wouldn't be a great primary crash for me, but as a secondary one it's cool as heck.

I like the rock crashes OK live, but I can't stand 'em in the studio. You got a pretty good buy, though.
