Or should I be done with it & buy a more expensive but superior software recording package?
I love N-Track, and I suppose I am a bit spoiled by what I have been getting for the money from Flavio. But I ask this question only because 30 Dollars US is almost what I paid for N-Track in the first place, and this is just an upgrade.
So is this upgrade worth the money?

No, but the fact that you'll get upgrades free for basically the next couple years for 30 bucks seems worth it to me.

Slackmaster 2000

Well, let's see....

The upgrade to Acid Pro 3.0 or SoundForge5 was $99.
Logic Audio or Cubase upgrade is approx $150-200.

If you had bought N-track or upgraded to the 24-bit version in the last 6 months, the upgrade to 3.0 is free. (Luckily I had just moved up to the 24-bit version a few weeks ago so I got my upgrade gratis.)

When you consider that N-Track has capabilities comparable to a $500-$700 program, I think that whining over $30 is kinda silly.... you've still saved enough money to buy a lot of other stuff.

Thanks for the replies.
And you guys are right.
I'll get the upgrade this week-end.

I love you guys :D

VI, keep us posted on what you find with the upgrade.
I used Power Tracks before going from an SBLive to a Darla24 and liked the layout and simplicity. Power Tracks doesn't support 24 bit, though.
I'd sure like to find a software that does 24 bit and closely resembles Power Tracks interface.

BTW- where at in Tustin? I used manage some apartments between Tustin Blvd and Santa Fe. Frequented a "Motorcycle Enthusiast" bar on Tustin.

i bought ntrack about 2 years ago and to this day its still my favorite multitrack software. funnily enought though, i dont think ill be upgrading to 3.0 .... i dont care for the interface too much, its cheasy and reminds of the sound forge 5.0's interface. ill keep the 2.9 ntrack or whatever the latest is and sound forge 4.5.
let it be known though that id gladly give another 30 bucks to flavio for just his customer support. ill wait for the next few months and see the new updates before upgrading.

Senor Getuhgrip:

3.0 is working great..Will enjoy it for a longtime.

I live at the corner of Red Hill & Tustin Ave basically, right behind the Marshall's...I build and test ammo for the military via my company, Aerojet Ordnance.

Where doyou reside, Mr. Grip?
