Hi!

I'm new to both these boards and OSX. I have access to a friends io26 but only when I'm down at his practice room so I'm unable to take it home for extensive messing.

I'm running OSX 10.5.6 and I've installed the latest io26 drivers off the Alesis site. I seem to have got it working BUT only 4 inputs show under both the OSX sound config tool as well as JackOSX when I was expecting 8 - one for each mic input. Another odd thing is that sometimes 26 inputs would show instead of 4- eh?

Maybe I should be using the older driver on the Alesis site? If so, how do I cleanly uninstall the latest driver to replace it as I can't see any uninstaller for the driver?

Any other tips for a io26 and OSX newb?

192 v 96Khz / ffado support

I had a second play with the iO26 under Leopard tonight and got it sorted. The reason I was only getting a choice of 4 inputs was because I had the recording frequency set to 192Khz. As soon I set it to 96K or below I had the full ten inputs at my disposal. I am currently using the iO26 with Ardour under Leopard just as a stopgap until the iO26 is working properly under ffado/ Linux or I can afford a similar device that works well with ffado, Linux and Ardour.
