Now thats what I'm takin about!
First time in the clinic, first time I’ve downloaded anything from the clinic, and I think I just spoiled myself for anything else.
Top banana, man (a term of endearment in Northern England)
Being a child of the seventies in England, I’ve always had a soft spot for Mr. Osborne in all his different manifestations, and as mentioned in other posts his influence is all over your music. No bad thing if you ask me.
Ah….. I remember it well, Blackburn Town Hall, Lancashire, England. About 1970 something. Ozzy comes on stage like some wild man from Borneo screaming “Stab the fucking sky” to which we all duly obliged. Oh happy days, no mortgage, no kids and no brain for most of the time. I remember lusting after that SG with the crucifix inlays, which to a teenager with no brain and a boat load of attitude was just about the coolest thing on planet earth.
Sorry about that, got lost in the midst of time there for a while. Back to your music.
As you can see from my previous waffle, it had the desired effect. As the man said, it’s a keeper and will get burned off to CD for top volume entertainment whilst driving around. This should definitely give the local Arab population something to think about. Somehow I don’t think they’re going to like it, but that’s all the more reason for playing it! If I spot any Arabs head banging at the lights, I’ll let you know.
As for being critical, why bother? If like something, you like it, period.
The quintessential factor with all music is “does it work” and the short answer to that question is a resounding YES. I shall leave all the mixing, micing and levels comments to people far more qualified than me. I enjoyed it, and that’s all that matters.
As for downloading, the full blown VBR version timed out. (I think I used some bad language at that point…….no make that, I DID use a lot of bad language at that point)
The 128 version went OK though, but I would like to hear it in all its glory at some point. Which I will assume aint gonna happen till you get your own site up and running.
Anyway, keep it up buddy.
You got imagination and talent, go where it takes you.
Alan.
