I am tired of crawling behind my computer to switch from my guitar cable to mic. And I have heard from a friend that there is some type of port you can install in the front of your PC that can accept the standard 1/4" jacks instead of the 1/8" adapter.

What is this called so that I can seach for it?

Thanks Vice..

I'll check out that site. But what is the generic name... input port, input bay...?

It is a "soundcard" that you install on the front side of your computer.

I checked out the site. Does anyone know if that is a 1/4" inch input or 1/8"? I couldn't tell from the picture, and couldn't find it in the specs.

"1/4" phone jack offers high quality connectivity to common consumer accessories such as guitar and dynamic microphone for vocal recording."
