Input Echo Delay In Sonar X2 Producer

When I enable the "Input Echo" for real time playback, it has a delay. I have done research on it and everyone is saying it may be latency or buffer or something but doesn't say exactly how to fix it or the setting to fix this issue.. Please Help.

If you use software input monitoring there will always be some latency. You can decrease the latency by lowering the buffers in your audio interface's settings, but the more you lower the buffer the more you risk glitches during recording. The usual solution is to use the hardware input monitoring built into your audio interface. What audio interface do you have?

I use a Behringer XENYX 1204USB Mixer

Disable the input monitoring ("Input Echo"?) in Sonar and monitor inputs through the Xenyx instead. That will give you zero latency.
