inexpesive amp for electric drumset?

I have a Yamaha DTXPress that I'm amping with my studio monitors and an 80W amp. It sounds fine and can handle max volume on the drum set without distorting. I tried hooking up my Roland MA-8 micro monitors just to see if they were powerful enough to handle the set and they're not.

I need another amp/speaker set to use on my electric drum set @ church. What's an inexpensive setup? Can I just use a guitar amp?

Running the e-drums through a PA would be the easiest - as long as the PA can handle the low end of the kick and as long as you have an good way for you and the other players to monitor the drums.

If you want your own system a low cost PA system (Phonic, Crate, whatever) should work.

Don't use a guitar amp (combo)- they are not designed to take the low end of a kick drum. Also, don't use a bass guitar combo - while these can handle the low end, they do nothing for the high end (Snare, Cymbals, HiHat).

The best combo amp for e-drums would be a keyboard amp - something with a 15" & a horn is best - but even something like a Roland KC100 (60watt) or a KC300 (100watt) could work (although they only have 12" speakers).
