Its plus or minus a half a decibel across he entire audio spectrum. Not even the best room on the planet is anywhere near that flat. It's not contributing anything to your room node problem. From what I understand, they are a pretty good budget preamp, and certainly isn't the limiting factor in your recordings.

alright, well i thought it was pretty decent, i just don't know that it is adding anything beneficial to recording my vocals, once i get my room noise problem figured, maybe i'l give this another go with teh preamp, it just may be worh tthe measly 120 i spent on it, but that's 120 i want to put towards something else, so we will see, thanks, for the insight, i almost sent it back, i got time before the money back guarantee runs out

What preamp did you switch to?

I think the problem is likely that you're recording in a closet. You've got the right idea with absorption, but it needs to be broadband absorbption - so that you're not just sucking the life out of the high end and leaving MF and LF gremlins running rampant.

Unfortunately, I think that the best bang for the buck material for broadband absorption is rigid fiberglass.
