i'm recording with a mic plugged into the back of my computer(line in??)...and im getting a slight static sound in the backround...what do i do to stop this?

Buy better equipment.
And no, I am not being condescending or mean. You are most likely plugging whatever this mic is into the mic input on your PC, and the mic preamp and analog-to-digital conversion on most consumer soundcards is akin to garbage.
You need to start researching recording microphones and interfaces on this site to start getting into the kinds of equipment that will give you higher quality sound.

kinda limited budget but im recording drums bass and guitar all by myself because i cant find a band
