So, i have some older Tanny Actives that i personally love (except for the low end). I bought them cheap so i couldn't be happier. Before these i had krk rp5's and i had major translation issues. With these, it's defineatly much better. Just not quite right.
This leads me to believe that i should probably add something else for playback to check my mixes. Right now, the only real way is to burn to cd's, go to the car, etc. So, what would be a good, cheap way to do this. I already have headphones but they don't seem to help (everything sounds good through them). Suggestions?
Also, i was thinking about buying some cabinets at this local place and building my own set of speakers. Not for this particular purpose but in general. These would have 8 in woofers probably, so pretty damn big speakers. Would this work? I'm talking about 80's hi fi stuff. If not, cool, i just want some in general.
