Good morning. I am 61 years old and retired. With few resources, I decided to set up a small recording system, which has the following configuration:

Software: Ignite by Air
Sound card: M-Audio M-Track Plus
Microphones: Tomato MT-1206

I downloaded the card driver and selected it in the program to work with it. I connected the keyboard to the MIDI port on the board, and it is working normally. However, I connected the microphone to the XLR input on the same board and it seems that it is not recognized by the program. The sound enters the board, we can see it through the LEDs, but I still can't record anything with it.
I'm not familiar with the subject at all, maybe I'm making very basic mistakes. I've watched videos about this software, but I haven't gotten a response, as it seems like I'm doing everything right.
Does anyone have an idea what it could be?

I don't know that software, but it's common to have to select your audio driver and/or hardware in the recording software's options menu. It may have defaulted to the computer's internal audio device.

Thank you for your attention.
I already did this when I installed the Ignite by Air software. But it doesn't seem to recognize the microphone. The keyboard works normally, connected to the same sound card. That's what I'm not understanding.

You may also have to select the correct input on the track itself, and arm the track.

Assuming you are using Windows, check to see what your input device is set as, and do the test in Windows. If it works there, then you need to determine what settings you need to change in Ignite.

I've never seen Ignite by AIR, so I have no clue what settings are needed.
