King of Bling
I got some help with this song on another BBS, and I thought I'd try to get a couple of opinions. No biggie if you're not into country-ISH type material, lol.

lmao..I was hoping nobody from OVER THERE would wander in here, lol.

Yeah, I toyed around with the drums some more, and the vocal levels. Didn't wanna' bug anybody over there with it, but you know me...ALWAYS INTERESTED IN OPINIONS.

Thanks, Brother,
Chris

I never heard it over there, wherever that is ?!

I like this, great lyrical hook, professional sound, very tight. I can't find fault, great job! Good luck

Thanks a lot for the listen, Slkeen. I didn't mean to come off as cryptic. I just didn't wanna' seem like I was spamming for some other bbs. The drums and some of the guitar came from guys who heard this in its baby stages over at www.recordingproject.com . It has a pretty active "Listening Room" similar to this...well, with maybe less hiphop, lol.

Again, thanks for the listen. Much appreciated.

Well, as soon as I seen Chris and Al, I just went straight to download :D No sence listening to lo-fi or hi-fi, you know it's gonna be good. Just put it in your favorites.

Yeah man, ive listened to some of your other stuff before. And I as well just downloaded it. This is pretty damn good stuff. I could picture this on the country station for SURE. Keep up the good work. I like where the bass is sitting for sure as well. Rock on

Hey Chris, I found the recording project site a couple of weeks ago while doing a search. Lots of great music and excellent feedback from the participants. I'm starting to post 'over there' when I can.

slkeen - Good to hear. Again, I appreciate the listen. Those people are sick of me at RP, lol. :D :D

Flash - Hey buddy. Long time no type. Hope all's well in your world.

packratlouie - I'm blushing, lol. Seriously, thanks. Very nice to say.

Have a great weekend guys.

Good Lord Man. I'm not worthy. Great sound. Great tune. You suck of course. Great mix. I'm going downstairs now to toss a Molitov cocktail into the studio..........

LMAO...well, you got THAT part of it right. Dude, all I've gotten better at is asking for help, lol. Real drums made a big difference, and anything Crawdad touches is just instantly better.

VERY much appreciate your taking the time, TR

Sounds great, Chris. Are the electrics direct and modelled? The tones are a little wimpy but overall it's a good production. Vox and drums sound great. Mix is very well balanced. Since you seem to have lost your old signature phasey and overprocessed sound I can't call your stuff cheap sounding anymore :D

They've been playing some spring break concert on the Nashville Network and I can't remember the dudes name but he's one of the young pretty boy country singers and he had this sick guitar tone. Then I noticed the wall of Matchless cabs behind him. I need to get one of the those.

I found myself listening to quite a few of your songs...and I was particularily attuned to your tribute to the USS Space Shuttle Columbia...

Forgive me..I am new and have found your site for the first time...
And I am going to have to listen to the piece you originally intended a comment on at a later time...because I am still moved by what I just heard....

Soldier...that's very cool of you to say, and it means a lot to me. That tribute song was important to me.

Tex - You old dog, lol. I can't believe I finally got some positive mix comments out of you. You were a harder nut to crack than WATYF, lol. Yeah, the gits are Amplitubed. Pretty lame, but I just got it, so I'm hoping I can get closer with time. Thanks for the bump.

Why bother? Just get a used Fender Blues Jr for $200 and call it a day.

(You'll probably respond with something about waking up the wife and kids but damnit you got to make a stand somewhere.) :D

I agree with everything said so far - tight performance, nice vox, just a well written and recorded song. The guitars do sound "processed" but I can't say they were annoying, just different.

I'm in the same boat- can't crank up a real amp so I use a Roland GP-100 for modelling. Some day...

Nice lead licks.

Actually, it's more about being able to control the "tone" after the fact, lol. I just suck when it comes to heavier guitar sounds, and all an amp does for me is to insure that the thin sound I dialed in is permanent, lol. At least this way, I can keep jacking around with the clean tracks I have. If I can ever get my DX version of of Revalver working on this computer, it'll help.

Again, thanks for taking the time.

Missed you there, Phyl. Thanks man. Oh, and just so there's no confusion, lol...the guit fills with the killer tone and the lead...I had absolutely nothing to do with those...unless thanking Crawdad a lot counts as a "talent," lol.

Again, thanks.
