Identifying earlier Otari MX 5050

While checking out CL I came across a 5050 right across town, being sold for parts. I dont know much more about them than a few of the parts can be used on my MTR-10, The price was right (I think), but its not like all the others I see on the web, mines Stainless steel for the deck cover and the electronics are in a separate fully enclosed cabinet and a mechanical tape counter:( The data plate says only "Otari MX-5050" No Bs or numbers or letters. Nothing special but thought Id check here before I start parting it out. Thanks.
 
That's an original Mk1. Are you sure the parts are compatible? It's quite possible that the Mk2/Mk3 are cross-compatible and the original isn't...
 
At least the reel tables and the NAB hub adaptors are, but the more I look, the less there is to harvest for the 10, LOL. I wanted the adaptors anyway and they were worth the price of admission. And thanks for the heads up on what it is, should help when hunting down schematics.
