You just need a TS to RCA cable or adapter. Start with the level all the way down and bring it up slowly until you get the right level.Watch your ears, it will be very brittle and screechy sounding.
interesting. some mixed reviews so to speak. actually, mine is
one of the really old ones and it sounds great. I have tried several
ideas so far, and I do appreciate the feedback from you guys.
where to begin...... I just started to familiarize myself with cubase sx3.
pretty easy so far, but then I'm not trying to do much yet. just putting
guitar tracks on some work for a friend of mine.
I dug out my old ancient Digitech GSP21 Pro, and used it and
the tube screamer to get an slightly overdriven, mildly reverberated
sound, and went direct to sound card. it sounds really good.
not screechy or ghastly at all
it does hum though. if I do not sit in the exact right position, I
get a terrible hum with or without the tube screamer. it seems to
get worse (unbearable) if I am close to the monitor which is a big
CRT. not sure if that is significant.
is there a cool way to record rock-ish sounding guitar direct
to computer? there are a ton of virtual effects, all of which I
hate. but maybe an external pod or something might be the way.
thanks!
