Is the Turbo Tube Screamer any better than the normal TS-9?
The guy at guitar center was trying to convince me that it's better than the ts-9 because it has more tonal options, is hand wired and has the very original TS-9 Chip in it.... Of course I would've just gone with the TS-9 if they had it in stock but they didn't so this was the closest I could get to testing one out.
Of course with tax it cost me 120$ and either way I'm taking it back... I just wanted to test it out before I actually decided to keep one and I'd rather order it off of musicians friend so I don't have to pay tax and so I can get free shipping since I'm ordering an EQ too...
I'm using the TS-9 as a tone shaping device rather than an overdrive so that said, is there any point in having the TS-9DX over the normal TS-9 and just out of curiosity what general settings (if any) could you recommend to tighten up your low end?
