Has anyone heard of the story of the Herzog? Back in the day an old school rocker named Randy Backman of BTO tried plugging the speaker out of one amp into another amps input and loved it. The problem he had was live on stage he kept blowing the amp up that the other amp was plugged into. So an amp builder named Gar built him an all tube amp with a line out instead of a speaker out. The name of the company that the Herzog was made is Garnet. Do a search on the web and check it out. The Herzog is what you are looking for. Now I really shortened the story but it is a cool unit. So yes you will blow the transformer out of your amp if your coming out of a speaker out into an input. :D

Connecting the Power output of an amplifier to the Input of another amp is not a good idea. Line out ok. Emulated out ok. Power out not ok. :)

Double post of sorts. THe nano is cool but WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY to $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

I tried my GT6 in loop effect in my amp and the distortion was hardly there!

Is that supposed to be way "too" much $$$$$$$$???

It is around $420 from the guys in Vex's neck of the woods, Minnesota I believe. Worth every penny. You get what you pay for 9 times out of 10. Vex is an excellent guy, I own quite a few of his pedals and they're all solid, and have great tone. Its going to be more than your peavey valve king, but to me is worth it. Its another flavor that is very useful in a studio setting. I own a 100watt super lead, 1965 bassman, blues junior, peavey butcher, jc-120, and the nano. They're all different but if you're looking for a particular tone, with those amps and my collection of pedals, I bet I can get it.

The sound clip is on vex's website. Click on the nano and you should see a link for a few sound files.
