Depends whether you're digital or analog.

This isn't the cave, you know, are you in the right place?

I may be lost, but I'm not sure.

The only problem is getting the warmth back into a digital recording. Perhaps you need a tube as well.

Are you trying to make your own beats? If that's the case you should see if you can find some free samples of your voice on the internets and use that.

plug the radio into the board and press 'rec'. That should get 'er dun.

That's the best solution to getting radio quality music that I've come across yet!

You could use a speaker.
Yeap, he could use a speaker as a mic.

For example... Cut the female end off of an old XLR mic cable and connect the (-) negative side of the speaker to pin 3... connect the (+) positive side of the speaker to pin 2... and connect the shield to pin 1 on the XLR end only.

For example... for a speaker kick drum mic (reversed hookup). Cut the female end off of an old XLR mic cable and connect the (-) negative side of the speaker to pin 3... connect the (+) positive side of the speaker to pin 2... and connect the shield to pin 1 on the XLR end only.

Yes, this is really how you hook it up.

Making a mic out of a speaker...

When you say, "Want to record vocals.." What exactly are you trying to say there? Maybe I am misunderstanding...but I think that if you take a small piece of coiled wire...and gently bring it up...to those two small holes in the wall...where the tele attaches....then insert the wire with a firm but steady motion...that should do the trick...
