I want to start a Studio

I have no money so i have to buy in bits in pieces

I want to start a home studio for hip/rap/r n b
i know have a Gateway Computer with a pentium 3 processor but i want to upgrade to mac( which i was told is the best for audio recording) so what would be the best mac to get when your 16 yrs old w/ no job but really want this.
I no when yopur budget is low you should go the software route so i have to do that
what would be the best software combonation to get
i here alot on pro tools ( is it hard to learn) and cool edit pro. now i am using Acid Pro 4 and FL Studio 4. I sample thru my 2 stanton STR60 and my SMX-201 record and chop but it is a frustrating routine what would be a better way. i do plan on recording vocals so what would be a good mic cause this 20 dollar sony pics up everything and i hate that
I also wha to reduce noise to get the best sound since vocal recording will take place in the back room
all help and comments and suggestions will be great

P.S. what would be the best cables,soundcard,midi keyboard,etc( all the little essentials that make a big differnce) to get.

Hey dutch, there are a million or two answers already posted to your questions. Start
with a search on the other forums for equipment related questions. As far as building a studio, what kind of space are you starting with? Can you use a hammer as well as computer Just kidding.
Ok, you have lots to learn. First off, soundproofing a room is a VERY tedious and exacting procedure. And no, eggcrates don't work. For anything except holding eggs that is. And soundproofing is only the beginning. Then you have acoustics. And ergonomics. And HVAC. And Doors. And electrical. And permits. And .....on and on and on.
My best advice is to READ....READ somemore..... and then you might try READING some. Here. Search. Or go to the VERY FIRST post and read EVERYTHING. All the answers are here. Already. By the time your half way done, you will begin to understand what your up against. Your room conditions is the only difference. And then define exactly what it is you want to do. That will define what it is you HAVE to do. Then, once you understand what it is you have to do, you can take up a different hobby.(just kidding again.) The reason I say this is unless you have a space that YOU can do what you want to with, you are wasting your time and others here. Now, I don't burst peoples bubble for fun, but REAL solutions to studio construction require a space that you can modify in ways that most parents would not allow. FOR INSTANCE. What do you have to work with? An apartment? Trailer? House? Does your parents OWN it, or do they rent? Do you have neighbors? Close? How close? Airports? Trains? Freeways? How loud is the music your recording. Do you want a control room as well as a iso room? See what I mean. Ok, do some reading and you will begin to understand what your up against. Home studio construction can be easy or it can be very difficult. Depends on what your working with, and against. So,
if you do as I suggest, and then come back with some specific construction related questions, and can provide definite room conditions and dimensions, people will be glad to help you. Otherwise your spittin in the wind. So.....if you REALLY want this, read.
Its all here already. Hope this puts things in perspective. Home studio can be a misnomer. For recording with a mic, there is no difference between a home studio, and a commercial studio. Except size. That is unless you don't mind your neighbors dog on the recording. One more thing. When you soundproof, you airproof. So how you gonna get air into a soundproof room without noise. Thats the real trick. And it aint cheap.
