Hey people! I just posted another one... Something is telling me it is not ready for your scrutiny, but I am not sure where it went wrong. I'm not sure what is missing... Maybe you could help.

Thank you for your time

Awesome dude!!

I love this kind of laid back music. Nicely done!!

One nit, the bongos are a tad repetitive, that's it!!!

Great work!!

Oops, I posted the wrong track. I changed the congas and bongos yesterday. I thought they were a bit repetitive myself... Thanks for checking out the tune...

I checked out SEU, is that you wanted us to listen? Anyways, I see pine trees in Cali as soon as I hear this tune, weird. Maybe I played too much Grand Theif Auto over the break. I think this song will make a great video game music. Dig the change around 2:15

"OCTOBER." - The mix sounds really good to me. I don't listen to much music in this genre, but there's decent seperation of the instruments, the low end has good definition, and none of the parts jump out more than they should.

Nice job.

October is the right song. I meant I uploaded the wrong mp3 file. Thanks to all who takes the time to listen... I thought the low end might be a little weak, but I didn't want to change anything until I after I received a concensus...

Easy listening for sure. The keyboard lead melody thing reminds me of a George Benson song, can't remember which one.

The click, click-click that comes in around 4 seems a bit rushed sounding, not quite in the groove.

Overall, relaxing music, good job.

I forgot this was even playing.. I mean that as a very high compliment because I wasn't thinking about the recording.. just staring into space.. thinking..

damn..

Thanks again for your replies. They really are appreciated.

The two main things I had questions about is the low end and the click, click-click that comes in around 4 minutes into the song. I couldn't quite put my finger on it, but I think Emeric hit it on the nose. I will repost the song later on today when I get back to my DAW...

Great vibe, mellow but not boring. Background music.....I mean that in the best kind of way.
Definitely unique to this forum.

Thank you all for your time in listening to my music...

Excellent tune. I think it needs just a bit more bass and overall drum level to come up. Very slick production.

If this was playing in an elevator...I would ride up and down 'till it was over.Nice song.Stoney in the headphones.Sweet sounds, dude.Great mix!

I think the mix is decent enough overall, although it seems a tiny bit heavier on the left sometimes...not sure about that though.

The composition itself had some real nice moments. There was a little bit too much "up & down" movement though....kind of like driving on a very hilly road very quickly....my ears kind of just wanted more smooth spots.

The instruments did sound very canned, but you gotta work with what you've gotta work with. Some of the keyboard sounds were kind of nice.

I really appreciate your ears. More bass and more drums, eh? Ok, back to the drawing board. This will be fun, but I guess it's a part of learning. I felt the bass might be a little weak, but it was sounding, well, just ok from my comp speakers. Thanks, Track Rat. I will repost with the results.

Is it that obvious? :p That's all I can do! Any suggestions on making canned instruments sound not as canned? I'm all ears... I'm going to try and balance the left and right channels a little better when I go back and mix it again.

Thanks again for lending me your ears!
