ok 1st both songs produced on reason, 2nd both recorded on nuendo thru an mbox 3rd holy vocals was with a rode ntk and candy was with a dynamic senheiser mic. On holy i over compressed the vocals and gated to damn hard (which is my bad habit) but the vocals have a bigger fuller sound and less instruments, were as candy vocals arent holy thick but the vocals sound good with the track. Gimme ya insights on this.
Track Notes: All vocals ran from a presonous mic pre the 100$ joint to a behringer mixer (Mbox only has 2 ins) to mbox. Vocals processed with waves c1, nuendo vst dynamics, magneto, and stock reverbs and delays. reason tracks r just 2 stereo bus rewired in synch with host program with a slight reverb Holla!.

It's tough to listen deeply when the songs are streamed, but I think it sounds really good. The singers are amazing and you did a great job mixing all the the vocals and harmonies. I'm a rock n roll guy so I'm used to putting a bit more highs when mastering for a little crisper feel. But overall you should be proud of those recordings..I don't hear anything that bugged me to the point of noting it.

Nice job.

Candy - I would try to make those back voxes more homogenous. Try to make them bit more distant. Try to imitate the real world. When someone is singing further away the lows get quieter. The closer the source of sound is to your ear the "ballsier" it tends to be. Also I would try to put those voxes into a bit different "space" than the main vox.

Holy - This song is other way around :). Back voxes are nice and homogenous. The lead vox is much too compressed for my ear.. The sound isn't even close being natural. The singer is really nice. Let her vox breathe and let it be more natural.

All the instruments/overall mix is good.

Thanks alot. I really appreciate those comments. it just tells you a millions dollars (with the right person behind it) started from a mere red cent.
