I need to connect my trinity to my mpc

Okay i just got my korg trinity and havent had my mpc 2000xl for that long either...i brought midi cables yesterday and i connected them together so from mpc midi out to trinity midi in and mpc midi in to trinity midi out....

What i want to do is i want to sequence on the mpc using the trinity...

I have no clue how to set that up now....

Can somebody please help me out id really appreciate it! THANKS!

The first thing you need to do is find the 'local on/off' setting --- probably on the 'global' page and set it to 'local off'. That will break the connection between the keyboard and it's internal sound engine.

Then hook up the midi out of the Trinity to the MPC (either input) and then use either output back to the Trinity. Don't forget to put the Trinity in 'multi' mode if you want to get more that one sound going at a time.
