I'm tottaly new to this, I have been using downloads from fruity loops, acid, and cool edit, but I am stuck.
Do I keep with the all digital computer stuff, or do i go old school analog? I really dont have a preferance as far as sound quality goes. My prob is I have no idea what I'm doing as far as recording what I have. I have dj equip, decent numark tables, good mixer, and amps, but now I need to go in a new direction.
I want to be able to produce my drum and bass in one step like with fruity loops, scratch in some samples, be able to rap over all of it, and Record it all.

It dosent sound like it would be that hard, and it probly isn't, but I am doing this all on my own, Everything I know I have taught myself, and I have come to a brick wall. I have played drums for ten years +, so I knew rythem, but I even taught myself how to play the piano, so i would learn notes. Salespeople at the local store just want to make a commision on some expensive stuff. Can someone help me tie this all togeather?

My head is spinning like a whirlwind with ideas, like I just mixed a hardcore drum and bass Lucy in the sky with diamonds, and it was so powerful it made my girlfriend cry, but I have no way to record it. (it was her favorite beatles song, now her favorite ErikG song :) ) HELP ME PLEAZE
