Im not real knowlaged on compressor/limiters, but my vocals are all over the place in the studio, so I know enough to know I could use some compression. So what would be a good vocal compressor?

don't be afraid of behringer gear. the composer pro mdx2200 is very nice (and very cheap).

If you buy the Fmr. Audio RNC from www.mercenary.com they
double the warranty to two years-not that it's likely you'll need it
the warranty.

I was wondering why poeple like them so much on this board.

Uhhhhh...you know me and my questions... this is going to sound really dumb, but what does a compressor do, exactly?

Anyone have a link to a good thread that talks about them off hand? Or something like a quadraverb while we're at it? I don't know anything about effects or even where to start???
Thanks,
Jed
