You seem to like the sound of your woodshed, so perhaps you might consider a pair of Earthworks TC20s through an RNP. I use the TC20s for recording applications and they are exceptional mics and in the same price range as the SM81s, another excellent mic.

I don't think I've ever used a mic that was "bad" at recording acoustic guitar. It seems like acoustic guitar is perhaps the easiest thing to record and get decent results with. I guess that why I do it so much, it's simple. Guitar, mic, record.
