For the first time. Nothing wrong with that recording. :)
Sounds great for a Tascam cassette 4 track. And in the Greatest Hits liner notes he says he mixed it through a Gibson guitar echo unit to a boombox.
I don't know. They must have done some good tricks with it in the mastering room to make it sounds so clean.

It was brand new. :D In the liner notes it says what he paid for it. I forget how much.
Uh, it was a thousand forty years older than now bucks piece, and the grass was greener too.
Also, I can't stand the guy, I'd guess you know why ;)

Steve, I've both 144 and 244 portas here under dust covers ..heh heh. You CAN make much better recordings with those machines, than that. :p :D

When the 144 first came out there was a real rush to be the "first" to have one. I sold the first one that I got my hands on to Sheila E. She set up an appointment to meet me at the store after hours, something to which I eagerly agreed. ;) I can't say that I know what she did with it at the time, but I suspect that there were many albums made on them at the time. I was a bit surprised that Bruce did one on it because it was such a change from his, at the time, normal style.

wow, i literally just heard it for the first time as i was browsing this forum :) crazyness.

I like the sound of this album, like a tape demo, it's really intimate.
