YES! Ok, it isn't here yet but I can't wait to get my grubby hands on it. This will make drum machine #3 for me. Now I'm setting my sights on a roland juno 60 :D

Since you brought it to my attention I've been using mine more.

You will find a bunch of 'acoustic-sounding' drum sounds in there - more than I remembered. Also, it's a 16 voice FM sound module with a filter --- something even the nicest DX-7 didn't have.

Some VERY nutty, whacked, oddball and unique sounds are possible from this lil' unit...

That's good to know! I can't wait to get mine. I already own 2 korgs so a yamaha will be a very different "organism."

I love whacked out, oddball and unique sounds. IMO, it makes for great and original music! Have I mentioned that
I <3 DRUM MACHINES!?!?! My next conquest: a roland juno 60!!!!!!!!!

BTW, I also started toying around with Mackie Tracktion. I dig, I dig. Wasn't it you that recommended it to me to try out? Seems very easy, very intuitive. Although it didn't pick up my "ASIO Sound Device" or whatever but I switched it to Direct Sound and everything worked OK after that. Did you experience anything like this? I'm running Win98 SE on an AMD/nforce2 chipset with those crappy onboard sound processors enabled, so I don't know if that affected anything.

No - I got my US-122 setup w/my laptop running XP home before I discovered Tracktion.

I'm glad to hear you like Tracktion --- let me know how you like the DX200.
