Hey,
I was wondering if anyone uses a tama tension watch or a precision drum dial? If you do then please reply and give me some suggestions on the relationship between bottom and top heads. I am going for that pitch bend sound and I thought I could get it just by having the bottom head tuned a little lower than the top but maybe there is more too it... anyway, any help is appreciated.

Rule of thumb is to go tighter on top. Find a tone you like and used the dial to sync-tune.

only reason that you're going tighter on top is that you're usually using a thicker head on the batter and thicker heads need to be tighter to achieve the same pitch as the bottom (resonant) head.
