Hi,
For my recording studio (home of course) I need some kind of keyboard that full-fills the following.

-Has to be 88 notes/weighted.
-MIDI communication.
-Realistic good quality piano sound.
-Realistic organ 'vintage' sound.

The rest I don't really care about. Is money an factor; yes and no. I don't want to waste my money so I will either buy now if I can afford it or wait for such a time that I can (or borrow).

Ideally it would be an organ/piano device primarily; I don't really want to be paying more for all the 'bells and whistles' but if I have to I have to. I'm not after the top of the range new models either, as long as it meets the criteria outlined I'll be happy.

Thanks in advance,
Krystof.

Try the Roland RD series. I think they are at RD 800 now.
Not sure about the Numbers.

Excellent touch, has Midi, 88 keys, A killer piano sound, and has the vintage keys in it as well as some small ad ons like strings a bit of brass.......

Well, my advice is not going to be the best cause i own an Alesis Quadra/Synth Piano Plus ( and it is only a 76-key). However, the chapter 11 thing could be a problem or could be a bonus for the price. But i think the Alesis has a killer sound even over Roland, and would definately fit the first three of your criteria. I am not as satisfied with the organs on the keyboard as i could be. You may want to go with the KORG Triton Pro-X 88-Key Keyboard there; i have heard they are really good if you have that kind of money. :)

I agree you should check out the Roland RD series. I have a Roland xv-88 and the srx-02 expansion card and its the best plug and play piano i have ever tried. If piano sounds are your thing, stay away from the triton. IMHO the Triton piano sounds just plain suck, and for that kind of money it's a no-brainer.

I also agree on the Roland... I have an A90, and i'm quite happy with it. Good piano sounds. Organs in A90 suck, but I have the JV1010 also, which has some nice organ sounds...

The RD700 is their newest piano. Something in between the A90 (advanced midicontroller, less sounds) and XV88 (no advanced midi functionalities, just one midi-out, ALOT of sounds.), that's what they say...

Go check it.
