i have absolutly no idea whats going on

i somehow acquired a Eurorack UB1002 mixer and i have absolutly no idea what i can do with it really. Ive tried plugging my guitar into it then into my amp. Ive tried plugging my guitar into my amp into the mixer. then into the computer to record. But really i have no clue what im doing. i have a Laney HCM 120R amp with a send, return, and line out plugins on the back which i have no idea what to do with either. help?

Try this signal chain and see what happens:

Plug your guitar into your amp. Plug a microphone into the mixer, and place it by your amp. Then plug the mixer into your pc. This will give you a much better sound than trying what you did.


And get into the manual as was suggested. It should have diagrams that show you how to plug everything into the mixer and how to route the sound out of it.

As you were told in the above posts, But get yourself a little box called DVD Xpress.
It's about $100.00us plugs in to a USB1 or USB2 and will allow you to record either or both audio and video in to your computer. You can hook your Behringer to it and record in to your computer.

I've been looking at getting a MOTU 2408.
Is there anything else cheaper that is kinda comparAble?
I do like the idea of 8 1/4inputs w/ the MOTU 2408.
I havn't seen anything else.
